Talk to the Hill 2023
On Thursday, January 26, 2023, Governor Maura Healey, Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Kimberly Budd, bar association leaders, and legal aid clients joined a virtual gathering of more than 1,000 people for Talk to the Hill. This virtual event advocated for $49 million to fund civil legal aid in the FY24 Massachusetts state budget.

Talk to the Hill 2022
Talk to the Hill, an online event advocating for $41 million for civil legal aid funding in the FY23 state budget, was held on January 27, 2022. Speakers included Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey, Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Kimberly Budd, Congresswoman Katherine Clark, and legal aid clients whose lives have been transformed by civil legal aid.

Talk to the Hill 2021
On January 27, 2021, attorneys, law students, and advocates gathered online, urging lawmakers to include $35 million for civil legal aid in the FY22 budget. The meeting was headlined by Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey, Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Kimberly Budd, and Michael Curry, president and CEO of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers. Two clients shared their stories of how legal aid lawyers kept them and their families safely housed and financially stable during the pandemic.

Walk to the Hill 2020
At the 21st Annual Walk to the Hill for Civil Legal Aid on January 30, 2020, hundreds of attorneys, law students, and advocates urged legislators to include $29 million for civil legal aid through the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation line item in the Fiscal Year 2021 budget.
