Some of the most prominent representatives of the Massachusetts legal community are joining together again this year to urge Governor Baker and the legislature to increase funding for the civil legal aid line item in the Commonwealth’s FY19 budget.
General Counsel Letter
General counsel from dozens of the leading corporations and institutions doing business in Massachusetts will deliver a letter to Governor Baker and members of the Legislature asking them to support civil legal aid with an increase in the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation line item.
Managing Partners Letter
Managing partners of many of the largest law firms in Massachusetts delivered letters to the Governor and the Legislature, urging them to increase funding for the civil legal aid line item.
Law School Deans Letter
Massachusetts law school deans delivered letters to Governor Baker and members of the Legislature, explaining that an increase in civil legal aid funding is necessary to improve access to justice in the Commonwealth.

Bar Associations Letter
Leaders of the Massachusetts Bar Association and over 30 affiliated bar associations across the state have delivered a letter to Governor Baker, urging him to include a funding increase for civil legal aid in his FY19 budget.
