This year’s Captains’ Breakfast will take place at WilmerHale in early January 2017, with special guest speaker, State Senator Cynthia Creem.

2015 Meeting
This year’s Captains’ Breakfast took place at Morgan Lewis. Walk to the Hill Captains learned about this year’s legislative budget campaign, heard about the importance of legal aid from Chief Justice Hines, shared strategies to make Walk to the Hill more successful than ever, and celebrated the teams that joined the Walk last year.

2014 Meeting
The Equal Justice Coalition’s annual breakfast gathering of Walk to the Hill Captains was held at Holland & Knight. We welcomed our captains for the 2015 Walk to the Hill, and presented awards for participation in last year’s Walk.

2013 Meeting
The Captains’ Breakfast was held at Nixon Peabody. Greater Boston Legal Services Executive Director Jacqui Bowman discussed the profound impact of civil legal aid for clients and attorneys.

2012 Meeting
The Captains’ Breakfast was held at Ropes & Gray. Greater Boston Legal Services Executive Director Jacqui Bowman shared how legal aid attorneys helped a single mother gain custody of her children after her husband fled with them to Kenya.

2011 Meeting
The Captains’ Breakfast was held at Bingham McCutchen, with team captains representing more than 30 law firms in attendance. Greater Boston Legal Services Executive Director Jacqui Bowman discussed how the prolonged funding crisis has severely impacted advocates and clients.

2010 Meeting
The annual Captains’ meeting was held at Ropes & Gray. Team captains representing nearly 30 law firms that participated in Walk to the Hill 2010 gathered to discuss strategies to make Walk to the Hill 2011 more successful than ever. Greater Boston Legal Services housing attorney Stefanie Balandis discussed the extreme strain that the funding crisis is having on her work.

The Walk to the Hill Captains’ Lunch took place at Choate Hall & Stewart. The following captains were recognized with “Best Attendance” awards for their firms’ participation in Walk to the Hill 2009:
